I found a page in a David Attenborough book with a whale and the title 'the get fat quick diet which of course caught my eye (It's about baby whale humpacks feeding patterns!)
The abstract was made earlier this year and had been stored for the time being while I moved onto animals. When I felt some calm but energised creative vibes I pulled out this abstract and knew I wanted to match something soulful with this!
I love watching whale documentaries, the way they move so slowly and calmly, is a way I want to navigate the world and how I show up in it too. The combination of the abstract and the animal has met my two huge loves within my art and I am so happy with how this piece evolved, I am finding my voice 🩵
